Award winning radio
We're delighted to announce that Anita Hepple took Gold at the
HBA Hospital Radio Awards in the category of Best Newcomer at
the ceremony held in Blackpool on March 28th, 2009.
This continues our tradition of bringing on new talent of outstanding
quality at HWD Hospital Radio. At the awards in 2008, Jordan
Hemingway walked away with the bronze in the same category.

Meanwhile, Vicky Pinder was highly commended at the Awards ceremony
in the category for Best Female Presenter. We were also commended
for our production work for our live Dewsbury Rams rugby coverage
in the Station Promo category.

Presenter Mike Binns was twice commended at the HBA Hospital
Radio Awards in the category of Best Male Presenter and Best
Speech package. The latter was for an interview Mike conducted
with the Chief Executive of the Mid-Yorkshire NHS Trust, Julia
Squires, in June 2008.
