Forthcoming attractions:
Now that the World Cup has finished, Hollywood might be looking at a new film about football, called "Slide". It could have Gerard Butler producing and he may also star. The concept is being snipped and tweaked and will focus on a troubled father with a bad reputation trying to get back into his son’s good books by coaching his football team. Problem is, he’s also a charming rogue. It’ll probably stay as a rumour until he actually signs, but will see what happens.
Thor and Captain America are still filming at the moment, but the next Marvel offering, and the team up of those two with Marvel's other favourites in The Avengers, has a start-of-shooting date, of February 2011. With the film’s projected release date being May 4, 2012 it will shoot about 15 months before release. Joss Whedon is directing with Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man,Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson. It's the superhero overload

Channing Tatum continues to look at new projects as he has signed up to produce and star in "The Contortionist‘s Handbook". The film will be based on Craig Clevenger’s 2002 novel, with Tatum playing a forger who is able to slip in and out of tricky situations and change identities like a chameleon because he never puts down roots or makes personal connections thanks to a strict code of conduct. However, he falls for a beautiful woman and it derails his plans, plunging him back into confronting his troubled past and dealing with his new love’s own dark secret. The project still needs a director and won’t even shoot until late next year because the actor is already booked solid with "The Dilemma" for Ron Howard and then "The Vow" with Rachel McAdams. He might also be called back for a G I Joe sequel.
The writers behind the script for ‘Kung Fu Panda‘, Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff, are set to write "The Karate Kid" sequel. There's no word yet on where the sequel will be set, or whether it will change location as did the original "Karate Kid 2" but a release date of sometime in 2013 has been pencilled in.
Craig Brewer has hired another actor to fill one of the central roles in "Footloose". Andie MacDowell has signed on to play the wife of Dennis Quaid’s reverend. Quaid’s character, is the music-loathing religious type who is disgusted with the arrival of rebel hoofer Ren McCormack (Kenny Wormald), who is sending his tightly repressed small town into spasms of dancing delight. And he’s even less pleased when his daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) falls for Ren.

And the quote came from Dominique Minot as Sylvie in 1963’s "Charade".
