Forthcoming attractions:
Not too much coming out in July, probably because on the 17th of the month there’s "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". In this one, Harry begins his sixth year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. However when he finds a mysterious book marked as "property of the half-blood prince" he begins to unearth dark secrets about Lord Voldemort's shadowy past, that would be best left undiscovered.
Two weeks later, on the 31st July there’s "Land of the Lost" and "Imagine That".
"Land of the Lost" is based on the 1970s TV show, where Dr. Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell) is sucked into a space-time vortex alongside his research assistant (Anna Friel) and a redneck survivalist (Dany McBride). In this alternate universe, the trio make friends with a primate named Chaka, who is their only ally in a world full of dinosaurs and other fantastic creatures. Can they all make it back to our world alive, and if so: can the Dr. go from zero to hero with his discoveries, while "Imagine That" has Eddie Murphy playing a financial executive suffering at the hands of a nasty bout of "money-maker's block". He gets invited into his daughter’s imaginary world, where solutions to his problems await.

Kenneth Branagh, is to direct "Thor", from a script written by Mark Protosevich, Ashley Miller and Zak Stentz, His take in this film will see the powerful, but arrogant, warrior, whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war, cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Jason Statham has decided to enrol in the "The Killer Elite" – a $40 million action thriller. The film will be directed by Gary McKendry who has done a lot of commercials in his time. Hugh Jackman is to star alongside Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson in the Frontiers period drama "Unbound Captives", which is the directorial debut for 90‘s star Madeleine Stowe working from a script she penned more than fifteen years ago.
Back in 1993, Stowe, along with her husband/writing partner Brian Benben, actually turned away millions for her story. "Unbound Captives" was due to be a starring vehicle for Stowe herself but, given renewed hope by such a starry cast signing on, she will now move ahead with the production with Weisz in Stowe‘s old role. Weisz will play a woman whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Comanche war party in 1859. Jackman will play a bold frontiersman who attempts to rescue Weisz with Pattinson playing one of the kidnapped boys.
And finally, it appears that Martin Scorsese is signed up to tackle one of the biggest of all biopics - Frank Sinatra. Universal Pictures has acquired the feature film project "Sinatra" from Mandalay Pictures for Scorsese to direct. Oscar–nominated screenwriter Phil Alden Robinson ("Field of Dreams") is writing the screenplay.
