Quotation Quiz:
"When they tell you not to panic... that's when you run!".

This month's featured release:
To be released at the end of January, Clive Owen stars in "The Boys Are Back". Owen is Joe, a sports writer, but when his wife dies he has to commit to parenting, and takes six year-old Artie (Nicholas McAnulty) on a road trip of discovery and recovery. Then his estranged teenaged son Harry (George MacKay) from his first marriage turns up, bringing a fresh set of challenges. Also stars Emma Booth and Laura Fraser.
Forthcoming attractions:
Out on the 5th February, there’s "The Princess and the Frog". Walt Disney returns to traditional animation with this twist on The Frog Prince. Set in 1920s New Orleans, it focuses on Tiana (Anika Noi Rose), who kisses a frog Prince (Bruno Campos) and is herself turned into a frog. The two have to work together to regain their human form. Terrence Howard, John Goodman, Keith David and Oprah Winfrey also star.
The following week, "The Wolfman" comes out. A British man returns home to Victorian England from America, only to be bitten by a werewolf and start the painful transition from man to beast. With Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt.
Released on 5th March is the latest version of "Alice in Wonderland". Based on Lewis Carroll's children's classic about a girl who disappears down a rabbit hole into the bizarre Wonderland. Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Johnny Depp, Michael Sheen, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Christopher Lee star.

Chris Columbus is looking at bringing "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett to the big screen. The book is about African-American domestic servants in Mississippi and their rich white employers before civil rights kicked in. The book has been on the NY Times bestseller list for 35 weeks since publication in February and is set to start shooting in the South in the Spring.
It has recently been announced that Peter Jackson’s "Lord of the Rings" trilogy is coming to Blu-ray. The nine disc, three film package should be released on April 6 in America so it shouldn’t be too long after that for a European distribution. There is no word on what extras will be included but apparently this release will be the theatrical versions, the extended versions will follow at a later date.
Jennifer Carpenter, probably best known for playing Dexter's sister, has signed up to star in "Hungry Rabbit Jumps", where she'll appear alongside Nicolas Cage, January Jones and Guy Pearce. It’s to be directed by Roger Donaldson and the story sees Cage join a vigilante organisation after his wife (played by Jones) becomes a victim of crime. Carpenter would play Jones' best friend.
Rhys Ifans and Tobey Kebbell have joined the cast of writer/director Mitch Glazer's new indie, "Passion Play". The film already features Mickey Rourke as a down-and-out trumpet player who thinks he can find redemption through a "caged circus freak with angelic wings growing out of her back", with Megan Fox also starring. There's no word on what either Ifans or Kebbell will be playing in the film, but they're due to report to the set fairly soon in New Mexico to start shooting.
And the quote came from John Cusack in "2012".
Until next time...
