Quotation Quiz:
"You're mad!
Thank goodness for that because if I wasn't, this'd probably never work."

Our feature presentation:
Out mid May we have "My Best Friend" with Daniel Auteil and Dany Boon. It’s a rather frothy piece from a director better known for his thoughtful period pieces and intense psycho-dramas - Patrice Leconte who previously brought us "My Best Friend". The strongest part of this new film, is the relationship between Daniel Auteuil's frosty antiques dealer Francois and Dany Boon's Bruno, the chatty cab driver he gets to help him show his business partner (Julie Gayet) that he does have some friends. The film shows Francois' attempts to try and get himself back in with old acquaintances and total strangers alike and this gives the film some rather cringe-worthy but often rather funny set-pieces.
The film does take a rather more serious turn half way through, but the comedy is developed again near the end for a clever ending involving, of all things, the French version of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.’ Give it two years and there’ll be an American re-make waiting in the wings. It’s in French with English subtitles.
Forthcoming attractions:
Out on June 1st we have "Flyboys", which tells the story of the young Americans who volunteered for the French military before entering the First World War and became America's first fighter pilots.
Also out on June 1st there’s "Wedding Daze". Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher star in this comedy about a love-stung guy who proposes to a waitress as a dare and finds himself on an unexpected path to the alter.
Released the following week we have, "Are We Done Yet?". Ice Cube returns with a 'sequel' which finds his long-suffering character encountering problems with his builder. And "Ocean's Thirteen", also released on June 8th, which has Clooney and co back for more heists and cons with Al Pacino's high-powered casino owner as their latest target.Moviewatch grapevine
